The scheme aims to provide 100 days of guaranteed employment to unskilled workers in rural areas. It makes a significant contribution to rural development through activities such as construction of ponds, cleaning of canals and streams, construction of concrete and tiled roads, agricultural activities, construction of work sheds, and other community development works.
