History of the Grama Panchayat Adimaly Grama Panchayat, which comes under the Mannamkandam village limits in the Adimaly Block of Devikulam Taluk in Idukki district, spans an area of 271.53 square kilometers. The boundaries of this panchayat are Kuttampuzha Grama Panchayat to the west, Vellathooval Panchayat to the east, Mankulam Grama Panchayat to the north, and the Periyar River to the south. Steeped in history, Mannamkandam and Kuttampuzha at the foothills of the mountains were originally the settlements of the Mannan community. In the language of the Mannan community, the word "Adimaly" means "the place where water cascades down."
